I have a non-profit client who was selected for an IRS audit. A random audit for the year 2017. I've never been involved in an audit by the IRS. I didn't prepare their tax return. I was hired for training on Quickbooks, consulting, and some bank reconciliations. So, I'm not personally worried about any backlash on me.
However, I was wondering what to expect in case there are opportunities for me to help them with it.
Has anyone ever had a non-profit client audited by the IRS?
Will you please share your experiences so that I can have a heads up on what to expect?
